Introducing Dr. Mark Cohen, New Deputy Superintendent of High Schools at Naperville District 203
Naperville District 203 is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Mark Cohen as the new Deputy Superintendent of High Schools, effective July 1, 2024. Dr. Cohen brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of excellence in education, spanning a 25-year career.
Dr. Cohen embarked on his educational journey in 1999 as a physics teacher at Lincoln-Way High School District 210. Over his 18 years at Lincoln-Way, he consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to student success. This commitment was evident in his various roles, including department chair, dean, assistant principal, and principal, where he tirelessly worked to enhance the educational experience for all students.
In 2017, Dr. Cohen advanced to the position of Assistant Superintendent in Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205. There, he made significant contributions in both the Learning & Teaching and Human Resources departments, showcasing his versatility and dedication to improving educational outcomes.
In 2020, Dr. Cohen took on the role of Superintendent at Mokena School District 159, a PK-8 district serving approximately 1,550 students. Under his leadership, the district saw numerous advancements and continued to thrive.
Dr. Cohen’s extensive experience and dynamic leadership style make him a perfect fit for the role of Deputy Superintendent of High Schools at Naperville District 203. We are confident that he will bring innovative ideas and a collaborative approach to further enhance our high school programs and support the success of our students.
