MJHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF November 13,2017

 

Friday November 17

Naperville Firefighters Food, Coat, Winter Clothing Drive

Madison Junior High is proud to be a drop off location for the Naperville Firefighters food, coat, and winter clothing drive.  You can drop off your new gently used items to Madison Junior High during school hours.  Please see the attached document for the needed items.  The food items will be sent to local food pantries and the clothing items will be sent to Hesed House.

Women's Chorale - Solo auditions will be today immediately after school. We should be done by 3:15.   

Learning Commons - Please, help us protect our resources.  This week we have had several books returned damaged.  There is a cost to fixing damaged books.  Any returned books that are damaged will automatically be assessed a fee of $5.00 to fix the book.  Please, help by checking any book for damage before you check out the book.  If you notice that a book has damage, please, let Mrs. Cheatham or Mrs. Konrad know. We really appreciate your help! 

Reading BINGO is still available.  Check the Learning Commons Canvas course to get the game card.

Don’t forget to complete the Rebecca Caudill form for every nominee you read.  Participate in the voting in February.

Loaves and Fishes Book and Game Drive - Help support the Loaves and Fishes Book and Game drive by donating NEW books, games or puzzles (from $5-$15).  Your donations will be given to children under 12 during the holiday season.  Our box is located next to Ms. Girardot’s door.  The drive runs through December 10th

 

Thursday November 16 

Happy Education Week!  Show your spirit tomorrow and wear black and gold or your Madison gear.

Newspaper Club - Meets on Thursday after school in Ms. Grubb’s room. Stay tuned for this year’s first Warhawk Times, which will debut next week!

Speech Club - Meets this Friday in Room 195 at 7:15 am. See Mrs. Memon for more information.
