Home & School Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer

The Home and School Executive Board is happy to announce that all committees for the 2019-2020 have a chair position filled; however, we still have opportunities to help with committee planning!

We are looking for a co-chair for SFCP.  SFCP stands for School Family Community Partnership and has been well-supported by District 203 to promote new events and programs to support school improvement plans and strengthen links between the school and community partners. Programs such as One Book One School, SUCCESS and Watch Dogs have been born out of SFCP.  We are looking for a co-chair, as our current chair, Laura Riddle will have a 5th grader next year and 2019-2020 will be her last year at Scott.

This is a wonderful opportunity to develop relationships with Scott staff, meet other volunteers and board members in the district, and contribute to strengthening our community. Once or twice a year the district invites the chairs of all the SFCPs to gather to share their ideas and successes. This is a great benefit to chairing SFCP.  If you are interesting in partnering with Laura next year, please contact Michelle Shields at vp@scotthomeandschool.com

Scott School’s website will be updated soon with the new board and descriptions of each committee if you have questions or are interested in learning more about the potential volunteer opportunities at Scott.
