2019 Exemplary Business Partnership Breakfast

We believe an exemplary school district is the result of a collective partnership of students, staff, parents and community. We are proud to celebrate the inspiration and impact of collaboration between businesses and education in Naperville 203 through our annual Exemplary Business Partnership Breakfast.

On February 28, 2019, Naperville 203 honored exemplary partners that embody the mission and belief in partnership to advance curriculum by providing transformational learning opportunities for our students. These school business partnerships provide students with authentic learning experiences that prepare them for college and career.

The breakfast kicked-off with Naperville 203 Board of Education member Kristine Gericke welcoming everyone and providing the mission of the event. Sinikka Mondini, Executive Director of Communications, challenged the participants to have lively conversation about work experiences during breakfast.

To give a first-hand account of the importance of the job shadow experience, NCHS junior Tatiana Santiago regaled the audience about her work experience at Sikich. “It was an experience that I, as a student, will never forgot. Sikich employees welcomed us in with open arms and made sure we left knowing exactly what we wanted to study.”

Mark Trembacki, the Chair of the Naperville 203 Business Council, presented the Exemplary Business Partner Award to Janel O’Connor, Chief Human Resources Officer from Sikich and Marion Ruthig, Founder and Executive Director of the Inside Out Club DuPage.
