Brian Zallis Appointed as Principal of Prairie Elementary School
The Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board of Education appointed Mr. Brian Zallis as principal of Prairie Elementary School.
“Prairie is an outstanding learning community and I am honored to take on this new role as building principal. I look forward to working with staff and families to foster an environment that is student centered, highly collaborative and welcoming,” said Zallis.
Zallis is currently the assistant principal at Prairie Elementary School and has been in the District for nearly ten years, as assistant principal at Scott and Maplebrook Elementary School and Jefferson Junior High School. He also spent two years as the Dean of Students at John F. Kennedy Middle School in Plainfield. Zallis has 13 years of teaching experience at the middle and high school levels and was an adjunct faculty member at the University of St. Francis.
“Mr. Zallis provides an immense amount of expertise to the District. His eagerness and dedication has, and will continue to benefit the Prairie Elementary School community,” said Superintendent Dan Bridges.
Zallis has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Xavier University, a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Aurora University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Francis. He will replace principal Tracy Dvorchak, who is moving to Naper Elementary School.
