Food Services Overview
The National School Lunch Program is a federally assisted meal program. It provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each school day. Since October 1, 2010, District 203 has registered all their schools under the National School Lunch program. All schools provide hot lunch and have both free and reduced meals available for those that are eligible.In District 203 lunches are served by Aramark, a provider of nutritious meals that meet federal guidelines for schools. The price of milk and meals provided by Aramark, our school lunch provider, are established at the start of each school year.
The 2020-2021 school year breakfast and combo lunch costs are:
Junior High $1.50
High School $1.60
Junior High $2.75
High School $2.80
Each combo meal includes a choice of entree with two to four sides (one side must be a fruit or vegitable). If milk is taken as a side, it is included in the combo meal price. If milk is purchased ala carte, it is $0.45 per half-pint carton.If parents would like to use a debit system to handle the payment of school lunches, there are several options for depositing funds into a student debit account. Students who qualify under the National School Lunch Programs may apply for reduced-price meals. Reduced-priced lunch is $0.40. Learn more.
