    Stressed? Come join the Body and Soul Club for a meditation session, a yoga session, or both. We meet Mondays at 3:20 in Room 330.

    TUESDAY 11/12/19

    Multicultural Club is beginning to make plans for cultural activities and the yearly Multicultural Show. We will meet on November 12th in room 35 at 7:10 a.m.

    WEDNESDAY 11/13/19

    Academic Challenge and TEAMS is a competition-based club perfect for those interested in math, science, engineering, and English. We will meet in Room 320 at 3:20 after school on Wednesday, November 13th. Please bring your $40 fee/club.  Have questions or still want to join? Please feel free to contact Mr. Bentley or Mr. Collier.

    Come audition for Theatre Central's Winter Play next Monday and Tuesday after school in the Black Box theatre. Sign up for an audition time on the TC board in the band hallway.

  • Ramblings 11/4/19

     

    GENERAL INFO:

    • Class ring deliveries will be Tuesday November 5th in the Café during lunch periods. 
    • Senior ad information was mailed to parents last week. Early-bird deadline to submit is November 15! 
    • The Freshman Class Council is supporting Operation Support Our Troops. We are asking for your donation of needed wrapped food and supply items for our military personnel. Bring donations this week to the café during your lunch hour and receive a treat! Boxes are also located in the main office, LC, Rooms 217 & 226.

    TUESDAY 11/5/19 Theatre Central's sister club, Tech Crew, will be meeting tomorrow before school in the Black Box Theatre! New members welcome! For anyone interested in wrestling, there will be a preseason meeting on Tuesday Nov. 5th in room 30 after school at 3:30. Wrestling season starts next Monday Nov. 11th.

    WEDNESDAY 11/6/19 Attention Jazzers! This week will be the auditions for our NCHS Jazz Band or to sign up for our Jazz Lab Band. Stop by the band office (Room 83) and speak with Mr. Estes or Mr. Alstadt for audition information. Auditions for Jazz Band will be Wednesday Nov. 6th right after school! There is a Theatre Central meeting this Wednesday, after school, at 3:30 in the Auditorium Wave Club is an environmental club which is actively trying to improve our surroundings and make change happen. If you have any environmental concerns or questions, we’ll help you. Join us every Wednesday in room 108 at 3:20 to learn more about how you can help our Earth. Snacks, stickers, and memes are always provided.

    THURSDAY 11/7/19 Theatre Central Presents Clue: On Stage (High School Edition). Come see this comic mystery with the iconic and wacky characters from the classic board game November 7th, 8th, and 9th at 7:30 pm in the Auditorium. Tickets are $5 per student. You won’t want to miss it!

    ATHLETIC INFO. Girls’ basketball tryouts start Monday, 11/4/19 at 3:30 in the Main Gym or Fieldhouse. You must have a yellow card from the Athletic Office in order to try out. See Mr. Nussbaum in room 301 if you have any questions. Wrestling season starts Monday Nov. 11. For anyone interested there will be a preseason meeting on Tuesday Nov. 5th in room 30 after school at 3:30. Anyone interested in becoming a wrestling manager? There will be a managers meeting Wednesday Nov. 6th after school in room 30 also. Girls Gymnastics Season begins next Monday, November 11th. Don't forget to register and get your yellow card.     Seniors! Need help finishing up those college applications? The CCC is hosting drop in hours during all lunch periods next week, October 28th-November 1st. Stop on down to get your questions answered!

    Senior ad letters were mailed to parents last week. Early-bird deadline to submit is November 15 and costs $50

    There will be a girls’ basketball open gym at 3:30 on Monday in the fieldhouse.

    Hello Senior boys! Interested in being a candidate for Mr. NCHS! Stop by Room 222 either before or after school for a quick informational meeting.  Before school will start at 7:10, after school meeting will start at 3:20! Mr. NCHS meeting tomorrow, Room 222!

    Art Club will be having a bonus meeting on Tuesday October 29th to share "Hawktober" drawings from the month. Come and share the artwork you created!

    Are you interested in learning sign Language? Join American Sign Language Club. We will be meeting every other Tuesday in room 126 at 3:30. If you have any questions see Ms. Bagal

    Do you know what will happen in 10 years? Our oceans will not only take over the country and but be filled with plastic. If you're worried about impending doom, join us at wave club Wednesdays after school in room 108 to help fix the problem before it starts!

    Illinois Global Scholar Engage will meet on Thursday morning at 7:10 am in Room 224

    Do you enjoy watching, discussing, and connecting with others through Anime? If so, come check out Anime Club. Anime Club meets every Thursday in room 225 from 3:30-4:30. We also take suggestions for what to watch together! Email Ms. Bauer for more details or questions. Hope to see you there!

    Winter Sports Registration is now open.  Please see athletics department for tryout information.

    Boys Bowling Tryouts begin today Monday, October 28th. You need to register online through 8to18 and have a current physical on file in the Athletic Director's Office to get a yellow card for tryouts. Please see Coach Dunn if you have any questions.
