Individual events for the upcoming school year are inserted into the Calendar around July 1 prior to the start of that school year. Until that time, please see the District 203 Calendars web page to access additional printable calendars, including a one-page School Year Calendar PDF of major dates (beginning/end of school, vacations, holidays, etc.) for the upcoming year.
A.M. Early Childhood: starts 8:30 a.m., dismissed 11:00 a.m.
P.M. Early Childhood: starts 12:15 p.m., dismissed 2:45 p.m.

Early Childhood: No Early childhood classes.
Half-day Kindergarten: start 8:15 AM, dismissed 10:45 AM
Full day Kindergarten and Grades 1-5: start 8:15 AM, dismissed 11:35 AM
Grades 6-8: start 8:00 AM, dismissed 11:15 AM
Grades 9-12: start 7:45 AM, dismissed 12:00 PM
Buses will pick students up 100 minutes later than their regular pickup times, since classes start at 8:54 (100 minutes later than usual).
Yes, if needed your student may be dropped off and arrive at the regular time. Supervised study areas will be available until school begins.

Trained and licensed personnel operate and maintain the District 203 fleet of vehicles that transport students to and from schools, athletic events and field trips. Pupils are entitled to transportation to and from school when they reside more than 1.50 miles from their attendance centers. Busing may also be provided if they live within walking distance but encounter qualifying safety hazards en route. Call 630-420-6464 for transportation related questions.
YMCA's Safe 'n' Sound before/after-school program is operated in some District 203 schools. The Safe 'n' Sound program is available at Elmwood, Highlands, Mill Street, Prairie, Scott and Steeple Run elementary schools. Heritage YMCA registration and payment is handled through the Heritage YMCA.Beebe, Ellsworth, Kingsley, Maplebrook, Meadow Glens, Naper, Ranch View and River Woods are sites for the Champions after-school program. Registration for Champions is handled through Champions.Inquire at your school for contact information for either group. School phone numbers are available in the Schools section.
Summer school programs are offered for elementary, junior high and high school students. There also are summer band and orchestra lessons, week-long science day camps, and programs for special education students. See the Summer School section for information.
The Naperville Home & School Association is the local equivalent of the PTA, but it is not associated with any national organization. Home & School Divisions serve each of the schools in District 203. In addition, there is an organization called School Family Community Partnership (SFCP) which does have national affiliation. SFCP has action teams in all schools.
