Mrs. Tarah Allen, PrincipalMrs. Tarah Allen was appointed to be Ann Reid’s second principal in 2013. Prior to this, she was assistant principal at Ann Reid for one year and at Steeple Run Elementary School as an assistant principal for one year. She spent 11 years in Naperville School District 203 as a School Psychologist working at Lincoln Jr. High, Elmwood School and Beebe Elementary. Mrs. Allen was also a District Behavior Learning Specialist in the district and has extensive experience and training in the field of Autism, Behavior Intervention Strategies, Assessment, Crisis Prevention and the legal aspects of special education law and best practices. Tarah received her Bachelor of Arts at the State University at Oswego,in NY, her Master’s of Arts in School Psychology at the University of Buffalo, NY and earned her School Administrative certificate at North Central College, Naperville, IL in 2011.
Mrs. Carrie Smith, Assistant Principal
Prior to becoming an Administrator, Mrs. Smith has had a variety of experiences in education. She was a Special Education teacher for 7 years and worked with children in grades K-12. She was also an Early Childhood teacher for 13 years. In addition to her teaching experience, she has been an Inclusion Facilitator, Early Childhood Consultant, and Student Resource Team Leader. Carrie has had the opportunity to educate children from diverse backgrounds in a variety of educational settings. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Arts degree in Special education and a Master of Education degree in Leadership and Administration.
Mrs. Smith lives in Naperville with her husband and two young children.
