Project RISE: Elevating Student Wellness

Removing Barriers, Empowering Futures

At Naperville 203,  we are committed to the mental health and well-being of every student.  Project RISE is a grant-funded initiative designed to ensure that no student is left without support due to external obstacles.

What does RISE stand for?

  • R – Removing Barriers: Removing barriers for accessing mental health care.
  • I – Individualized Support Plans: Mental health care addresses the unique needs of your child.
  • S – Services for Students: Direct clinical counseling available in-person, via telehealth, or at specific school sites.
  • E – Empowering Families: Providing parents with the tools and resources to support their child’s journey.

Flexible Care Options

We meet our students where they are. Through our grant-funded partnerships, we offer two primary pathways for care:

  1. On-Site School-Based Counseling: Currently available at four pilot schools. Students can meet with licensed clinicians during the school day, minimizing missed instructional time and eliminating transportation needs for parents.
  2. Community-Based Care: In-person or telehealth sessions available throughout the community for all eligible District 203 students.

Our Therapeutic Partners

We are proud to collaborate with leading mental health experts to provide high-quality clinical care:

  • Endeavor Linden Oaks Medical Group: Providing expert clinical counseling support.
  • ReferralGPS: A specialized service to help families navigate the healthcare system and find the perfect match for their specific mental health counseling needs.

How to Access RISE Services

If your student is experiencing barriers to accessing mental health services—whether those barriers are financial, logistical, or related to provider availability—we are here to help.

The process begins with a conversation. Please reach out to your student’s school based mental health team to discuss a referral to the RISE program:

  • School Social Worker
  • School Counselor
  • School Psychologist

Note: Project RISE is specifically designed for students who are currently experiencing significant barriers to accessing mental health care. Our school-based teams work closely with families to determine if this program is the most appropriate pathway for the student's specific situation.
