Focus 203 March 2014
Focus 203 March 2014
Students get conflicting messages -from parents, from teachers, from peers, from community. Our students tell us there is a contradiction between achieving the very best and learning. That conflict leads to stress.
For our first Focus 203, we partnered with local service agencies to plan this community engagement session. Presenters outlined the skills and abilities we believe our students and families need to be healthy both emotionally and socially. These skills and abilities are called core competencies.
After the informational presentation, participants were asked share their priorities and how we can work together to do a better job in serving all of our children. We also provided participants with a toolkit to assist them to be the best parent or community resource to our children.
