There is a new law, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which is related to employee leave effective April 1, 2020.

Currently, the Benefits Department is working from home, but available to guide you through the process of making necessary changes to your health insurance elections if you experience a qualifying life event (spousal job loss, new baby, change in marital status, etc.). Remember that you have 31 days from the date of the event to make changes to your District benefits and submit required documentation for approval.
