2017 Summer Testing Dates for Gifted Identification For Junior High and Eligible Elementary Students

  • Junior High Identification and Placement
    Identification
    • Parents may receive a summer testing registration form upon enrollment OR after enrollment, a parent may email Laurie DeKruiff - ldekruiff@Naperville203.org to request the form.
    • Initial Summer testing 
      • Includes Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) and Iowa Assessment
      • Takes place July 25-26, 2017
      • 8:30 - 11 a.m. each day
      • Madison Junior High – 1000 River Oak Dr., Naperville 
    • Students that qualify for further testing will receive an email.
      • Includes Honors Math, Project IDEA, and/or Project IDEA Plus district placement tests
      • Takes place July 31 and August 1, 2017
      • 8:30 - 11 a.m. each day
      • Madison Junior High – 1000 River Oak Dr., Naperville
    • Performance Series tests in math and/or reading 
      • The testing window for Performance Series opens August 20
    • NOTE – If a student cannot participate on these days, testing will be completed with school counselors once school begins. 
    • NOTE – Mathematic coursework from previous districts can be reviewed to aid in determining placement in Honors Math. Contact the coordinator of gifted services via email – giftedservices@naperville203.org or via phone at 630-420-6551 to share curriculum documentation.
    Summer Testing for Eligible Elementary Students
    • If there is some evidence that an elementary student may qualify for Project IDEA Plus, please contact the Coordinator of Gifted Services via email – giftedservices@naperville203.org to request summer gifted testing.  See the junior high process above.
