National School Lunch Program
All District 203 schools are part of the National School Lunch Program.
Lunch program pricing
The price of combo meals provided by Aramark, our school lunch provider, increased slightly for school year 2018-19 due to a federal regulation. The combo lunch offered at Ann Reid Early Childhood (all day) is $2.65, elementary school is $2.70, junior high school is $2.75, while the high school combo hot lunch will increase to $2.80. Reduced-priced lunch is $0.40. Each combo meal includes a choice of entree with two to four sides (one side must be a fruit or vegetable). If milk is taken as a side, it is included in the combo meal price. If milk is purchased ala carte, it is $.45 per half-pint carton.
Paying for the hot lunch
If parents would like to use the debit system, there are several options for depositing funds into a student's debit account. The most traditional option is to send cash or a check,* made payable to Naperville CUSD 203, to school with your child. Funds are deposited into the student's account and are immediately available for use.
For those who prefer the convenience of online transactions and paying by credit card, mySchoolBucks is available 24/7. Please allow 24 hours for deposit to post to student's account.
To set up an account, parents should visit www.myschoolbucks.com. Parents will need their student's identification number to set up an account for the first time. After parents use the online payment system at least once they may check an account balance and transaction information via the internet at any time, even if they choose to pay by check* or cash after the initial transaction. Additional benefits are available to set up low balance alerts or use an electronic check. You may review each child's participation report that shows individual daily purchases, whether they pay cash or use the debit card. There is a $2.50 convenience fee per transaction for the online service.
Students with insufficient funds in their MySchoolBucks or lunch account may not use the charge account until funds have been added.
Account information may also be obtained at any time by contacting the food services manager at your child's school or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Participation in the online service is voluntary, and parents are welcome to continue to pay for lunches via the standard method of check* or cash. Please be aware that neither District 203 nor Aramark, our school lunch provider, profit from the fees paid for this service.
*Please note that a penalty charge of $25 will be assessed for each returned check.
