Legislative Scholarships

Every year, the Illinois General Assembly grants each legislator the opportunity to award scholarships to deserving students residing in their respective Districts.

Listed below is scholarship information from Rep. Joe Dunn (96th District) and Rep. James Meyer (48th District). Students must reside in the District of the Representative to whom they submit application.

Eight residents of both District 48 and 96 receive scholarships annually. The scholarships cover full tuition at Illinois state-supported institutions: University of Illinois (Urbana, Chicago, and Springfield), Illinois State University, Northern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University, Western Illinois University, Eastern Illinois University, Governor's State University, Chicago State University and Northeastern Illinois University. These scholarships are for one academic year only and are not automatically renewed; application must be made annually. Criteria for awards vary from legislator to legislator. Below are links to each Representative's application materials.
