National School Lunch Program
All District 203 schools are part of the National School Lunch Program.
Milk
The price of milk and meals provided by Sodexo, our school lunch provider, increased slightly for school year 2012-13 due to a federal regulation. The combo lunch offered at the elementary school is $2.20, junior high school is $2.25, while the high school combo hot lunch will increase to $2.30. Reduced-priced lunch is $0.40. Each meal includes a choice of entree, fruits, vegetables and milk.
Paying for the hot lunch
If parents would like to use the debit system, there are a variety of options for depositing funds into a student's debit account. The most traditional option is to send cash or a check* made payable to Naperville CUSD 203 to school with your child. Funds are deposited into the student's account and are immediately available for use. For those who prefer the convenience of online transactions and paying by credit card, Café Prepay is available 24/7. Deposits between $25 and $100 are accepted; please allow 24 hours for deposit.
To set up an account, parents should visit www.cafeprepay.com. When parents log on to Café Prepay for the first time each school year they will be prompted to update their student information. Access is by name; no ID numbers are required. After parents use the online payment system at least once they may check an account balance and transaction information via the internet at any time, even if they choose to pay by check* or cash after the initial transaction. You may review each child's participation report that shows individual daily purchases, whether they pay cash or use the debit card. Account information may also be obtained at any time by contacting the Sodexo manager at your child's school or via email at sodexo@naperville203.org.
There is a $2.50 convenience fee for the online service. Participation in the online service is voluntary, and parents are welcome to continue to pay for lunches via the standard method of check or cash. Please be aware that neither District 203 nor Sodexo, our school lunch provider, profit from the fees paid for this service.
*Please note that a penalty charge of $25 will be assessed for each returned check.
