To utilize Café Prepay, the online meal payment service, please be prepared to create an ID number for each child's account. This will be a 9-digit number comprised of a 2-digit school code (see adjoining table), 01 for student, then your student's 5-digit District 203 student ID number.
For example, a student at Prairie Elementary whose District student ID is 12345 would have the Café Prepay ID number 090112345. If you do not know your student's District 203 5-digit ID number, please check registration papers or your child's schedule to obtain it. You may also contact the school or email Sodexo at Sodexho@naperville203.org. (This email is correct: Sodexo changed the spelling of their company name to eliminate the "h," however this email address remains the same.)
When your student changes schools (moving on to junior high school, for example), you are responsible for updating their Café Prepay ID number to reflect the new school code. It is important that a student's ID number be kept current with the appropriate code. This is the only way to insure monies are deposited into the correct account and available for the student's use.
As of December 29, 2008, there were several changes to the online payment system for school meals in District 203. These changes were required by Café Prepay in order to keep compliant with credit card company regulations. Café Prepay now charges a flat $3 fee for each online payment transaction. Depending upon the amount of the transaction, parents may find that this convenience fee is either higher or lower than in the past. Payments will only be accepted for transaction amounts between $50 and $100, rather than for unlimited amounts as in the past. Parents are advised to review carefully all online payment transactions occurring after December 29, 2008, particularly if an automatic transaction schedule has been established.
Café Prepay allows participants to check balances online at any time. Participation in the service is voluntary, and parents are welcome to continue to pay for lunches via the standard method of check or cash. Please be aware that neither Sodexo nor District 203 profit from this service.
