Kate FoleyThe Department of Pupil Services coordinates a variety of services so students can be active learners achieving high levels of success from cradle to college. Chief among those duties is the oversight of the Individuals with Disabilities Act and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act to make sure every child with a disability receiving special education services is educated in their least restrictive environment receiving high quality instruction aligned with the Common Core Content Standards and Illinois Learning Standards.

Pupil Services supports students, schools and families through a variety of services, including: Response to Intervention (RtI), hospital/homebound, psychological, counseling, social work, nursing, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, vision and hearing itinerant services, transportation and orientation and mobility services. In addition, Pupil Services also ensures compliance of Section 504.

Email

Nancy Lullo, Director of Pupil Services, provides oversight and coordination of all aspects and levels of Pupil Services support. Nancy directly oversees Homebound and Hospital Services, Non-public services, and Extended School Year services. She is also the District's Homeless Liaison. In collaboration with the Department of Learning Services and Human Resources, Nancy provides oversight regarding Professional Development and mandated training to all certified and non-certified staff members in Pupil Services. She collaborates with the Department of Transportation to coordinate transportation to special education students and works closely with the Department of Human Resources to monitor certification and licensure requirements of staff members in Pupil Services. Nancy represents the District as a Commissioner on the City of Naperville Mayor’s Advisory Commission on Disabilities.
