About the Naperville Education Foundation
Objectives
Vision: Encourage creativity, innovation, and excellence in our schools - it's all about the students.
Mission: The Naperville Education Foundation seeks financial and other resources through fund raising and community partnerships to support program goals. We serve as a vehicle through which donors can fund appropriate projects, grants, and scholarships for the Naperville school community. We are focused on encouraging creativity, providing enriched opportunities for learners, and assuring that all students have the opportunity to maximize their individual and collective potential.
Accomplishments
- Funds $1,000 trustee Awards for all 21 schools
- Supports innovative faculty-designed projects, thus far including 187 General Grants, 79 Fine Arts Grants, 115 Multi-Cultural Grants and 68 Technology Grants
- Awards grants for beneficial student-initiated projects
- Co-sponsors the Excellence in Education Banquet
- Maintains and Endowment Fund
- Administers the Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund for Literacy, John W. Scherer Memorial Fund, Zachary Clifton Memorial Fund, Sue Thomas Memorial Fund, Judith Griffith Mattison Memorial Fund and the Richard Brassington Memorial Fund
- Manages the Kid Booster Program
Funding Sources
Foundation Grant Distributions
To date, the Foundation Board of Trustees has awarded over $375,000 in grants to help staff enhance educational opportunities for students in Naperville Community Unit School District 203.
