Herr Schultz received his Bachelor’s Degree in History and German from Wheaton College, where he is also finishing his Masters of Arts in Teaching. Originally from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, he moved to Germany in 2010 for an exchange year at the Gymnasium Winsen/Roydorf, outside of Hamburg. During his time in college, Herr Schultz also studied at the oldest University in Germany, the Ludwig-Maximillians Universität in Munich, where he studied Medieval and Modern European History . 2017 is his first year as a Redhawk, and he looks forward to working with students of all levels in addition to sponsoring the German Club and coordinating the GAPP exchange between NCHS and Hymboldt-Gymnasium Solingen in Solingen, Germany.
Magistra Cunningham graduated from University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BS in Latin. She earned her MA in Educational Technology from Concordia University and has been teaching at NCHS since the fall of 2004. She is also the sponsor of Latin Club and enjoys planning various toga-themed events.
Señor Davis is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher. He received his B.A. in Spanish and Political Science from the University of South Dakota. He received his Master of Arts in Teaching from Dominican University and his Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Aurora University. He was named the Naperville District 203 “Those Who Excel” Teacher of the Year in 2008.
Señorita Franta is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish. She studied at the Universidad de Sevilla in Seville, Spain for a semester during college. She has also received her Masters of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. While there she did an internship in Córdoba, Argentina. Ms. Franta received her teaching certification in Spanish and Business from National Louis University. She has been at NCHS since 2007. Prior to becoming a teacher Ms. Franta worked in the business world as a marketing manager. Ms. Franta teaches Spanish 2 and Spanish 3. She also sponsors the Spanish Club.
Señor Gamboa, or as his students call him, don Ignacio, is a graduate of Rosary College with a BA in Spanish and a MA in Spanish Language and Literature from Middlebury College. He also has a MA in Educational Administration from Northeastern Illinois University. Mr. Gamboa has been part of the Naperville Central community since 2002, having taught all levels of Spanish. He sponsors NCHS’s Cibeles chapter of Spanish Honor Society, an active member of the professional organizations AATSP (American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese) and ICTFL (Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages).
Señora Gasser has been a proud Naperville Central Redhawk since August of 1994. She holds a B.A. in Spanish Secondary Education from Western Illinois University and an M.A. in Spanish from Indiana University in Bloomington. She completed study-abroad programs in Salamanca, Spain and Guanajuato, México. She is the co-coordinator of the Spanish Exchange Program with our partner school, I.E.S. Rosalía de Castro in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Sra. Gasser also has several years of experience serving as a College Board Reader of AP Spanish Language and Culture exams and she teaches Spanish levels 2 and 5.
Señor Kaisling is a graduate of the University of Illinois of Chicago in 2003. He also has received 3 different Master degrees from Concordia University. Those degrees are in Curriculum and Instruction, Differentiated Instruction, and eLearning and Technology. At Naperville Central, he is the sophomore girls and the freshman A boys volleyball coach. He also sponsors the school’s pep club, Red Rage. Finally, he is the Technology Integration into the Curriculum Specialist for the World and Classical Language Department.
Señor Ortiz is a graduate of Loras College (Dubuque, IA), where he earned Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. There, he also played basketball for the Duhawks for 4 years. After college, he returned to his alma mater (De La Salle Institute Chicago, IL) to begin his teaching career. Prior to working at NCHS, Mr. Ortiz also had stops at Joliet Catholic Academy and Glenbard West H.S. Mr. Ortiz has also studied at Lewis University and earned a Master’s Degree in Arts and Teaching, and later earned his administrative degree through his post-graduate studies in Educational Leadership. Mr. Ortiz currently teaches Spanish 2 and Spanish 4. He also coaches Boys’ Basketball, Soccer, and Girls’ Softball, and is currently a co-sponsor of the school’s Linguistics Club.Señora Warren received her BA in Spanish from North Central College and her MSEd in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University. She teaches Spanish and is a native speaker who has lived in Mexico and has traveled throughout the country. She has taken students to Mexico in the past. In addition, she has mentored Latino students and accompanies them to the annual Hispanic College Fair.
Señora Watson attended Illinois State University where she received a BS in Finance. She studied at the Universidad de Seville in Spain. She received her Masters in Education from Benedictine University. Sra. Watson teaches Spanish I and Spanish III. Sra. Watson currently is co-sponsor of the Red Rage Pep Club and is past co-sponsor of Spanish Honor Society. Sra. Watson enjoys reading novels both in Spanish and in English and enjoys traveling to different Spanish-speaking countries.
Monsieur Whitt is a graduate of Ohio University in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in French. He also received his Master's degree in French Literature in 2003, which was soon followed by a teaching degree in 2004. Monsieur Whitt is also certified to teach Spanish and various topics in the Social Sciences. Monsieur Whitt is also a French club sponsor and a J. Kyle Braid leadership foundation sponsor. Monsieur Whitt is also a Freshman Soccer and Basketball coach.
Mr. Kralovic (郭老师) received his BA in Chinese and Political Science from The Ohio State University in 2003. He also spent a semester abroad at National Taiwan Normal University in 2002. After graduation, he taught English and studied Chinese at Taipei Language Institute. In 2007, he completed the Chinese Teaching Licensure Program through The Ohio State University. From 2007-2014, he taught Chinese 1 through AP at Gahanna Lincoln High School in Gahanna, OH. After moving to Illinois, he taught Chinese at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School until 2017. He joined the staff of Naperville Central in 2017.
